Color-coded badges help people identify roles quickly on scene. The badge color for religious advisors and chaplain aides is blue. A plain blue badge signals chaplaincy support, allowing them to move through operations, approach officers and the public for spiritual care, and be recognized without ambiguity. The striped blue version usually denotes a different designation, and yellow is used for other functions, so they don’t fit the chaplain role.
